Dr. Joe Leonardi has been in clinical practice for twenty-five years. He is the author of several books on weight loss, fitness, and health. He has a B.S. from University of the State of New York and his Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. His proudest achievement is that of being a veteran of the United States Navy.

He has been adjunct faculty at College Misericordia, Luzerne County Community College and Allied Medical and Technical careers, teaching Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pathophysiology, and Healthcare Data Systems. Additionally, he has mentored interns in many healthcare disciplines including Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Nursing and Physician’s Assistant students.

He has acted as the team chiropractor for the Arena Football League 2’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers, the semi-professional football teams Scranton Eagles and NEPA Miners, women’s roller derby Coal City Rollers and has provided Chiropractic care at powerlifting and strongman events. As well as treating these diverse athletes, he has also trained quite a few.

Dr. Leonardi has authored many articles and made numerous television, radio and internet appearances to discuss the topics of fitness, wellness, obesity, childhood obesity and how childhood obesity relates to bullying and has been a contributor to the international e-zines Naturally Savvy and Carb Smart.
In 2021 Dr. Leonardi competed in, and completed, his first of many triathlons. When not treating patients, writing, training for, or competing in, triathlons he is usually sitting on the porch with his little sheltie.
