To those who are celebrating Happy Easter.
Forty plus days ago Christians began the Lenten season.
How much has changed? What was important then, is less important now.
On Ash Wednesday we CHOSE to "sacrifice" something in remembrance of Jesus Christ's suffering and sacrifice.
What we now know, is how little choice we really have. Today we now realize what is true sacrifice.
When we come out of this will we be better, kinder, more compassionate people -- or as time creates a more and more distant memory of what was -- will we go back to what we were, forgetting the shared sacrifice, scrambling for pieces of silver, betraying others for nothing more than a bit of fleeting gain?
