Update – Training To Continue Improvement
We are now well into the next phase — training to continue to improve overall fitness, health, and well-being.
The weight I wanted to maintain is between 175 and 180, but for some reason I am hanging around the 190lb mark. In general, I would be okay with that, but I would like to be around 180 for the upcoming triathlon in early August. But I just keep moving forward, training with a ferocity I haven’t had in years. And if the numbers on the scale don’t show that effort, that effort is reflected in many other ways. As I have said in the past, the scale is but a tool in achieving goals; it is not the end all and be all to those goals.
Thank you to all of my friends, followers on social media and my blogs. Without you, none of this would be possible. You all made what seemed like an impossible endeavor, not only possible, YOU ALL MADE IT HAPPEN!
When it comes to health and wellness, minus any underlying medical, physiological, and/or psychological conditions, we have the ability to make a change.
***If you have any type of underlying condition, PLEASE get help from the appropriate medical provider, of which I AM NOT***
On a personal level, it was important for me to realize; I had that ability, and I had to choose between an unhealthy and unfit lifestyle or a healthy and fit lifestyle and every single day I must continue to choose. Yes, the effort to continue that healthy and fit lifestyle can be great, and at times strenuous, however it is much easier than living a life confined, constrained, and contained by the prison cell that was my morbidly obese body.
Again, I want to thank everyone who has helped me along this journey and who have been with me either from day one or have joined in, or are continuing to join in, along the way.
My gratitude can never be fully expressed because it continues to grow.
Love and respect for and to all.
Aloha and Mahalo,
Joe
